WellAhead is a philanthropic initiative of the J.W. McConnell family Foundation that aims to improve child and youth mental health by integrating wellbeing into school communities.
This past year, Greater Victoria School District worked with them to co-design, prototype and scale out an initiative called 2×10 that is about connecting staff with students in schools.
2×10 is essentially an adult taking at least 2 minutes to talk to a student up to 10 times about something that is meaningful and positive to the student to help build a strong and safe relationship.
